Block Molding and Block Setting Project
At the last meeting of the Nigerian Board of RichGrace, a physical visit was undertaken to see Ilogbo Community Primary Healthcare center and to assess the extent of its damages. It was then that state of dis-functionalities of the hospital was identified and noted. There and then, promises were made to fix the broken hospitals. The promises which later got significant buy-in buy the American Board Members of RichGrace were
One of such promises was to build a perimeter fence to cover the hospital, provide security for start and patience and give some sense of dignity to people who go into the hospital. To this extent, two thousand blocks were donated right away. Some other members in America provided supports to add to other costs of setting the 2000 donated blocks.
To the glory of God, on Saturday 17th February 2018, the construction work which started with block molding (to ensure quality standards and to maximize the numbers of blocks available for the project) and block setting on the first of February 2018 was completed. This was work was done in a record time of two and half weeks.
God was with us throughout this block molding and block setting project. We were blessed with the right human and material resources. We were further blessed with money and folks who are generous givers. Several people including artisans and board members contributed very significantly towards this project. Several logistic and planning meetings were held to ensure that as inexperienced as RichGrace was, this giant leap would be achieved.The lessons of the record time breaking and several other logistic breakthrough was to none others than, personal commitments, professional dedications (using the right people) and determination to achieve this feet. And it was achieved. It is a testimony of what man; Nigerians can do when determined and provided with the right leadership, the right faith and the right tasks/competency appreciations.
